Eurocom's locomotives acquired by Railpool

481 001 near Freden/Leine on Sept. 2nd, 2011

Following the bankruptcy of the Hungarian railway operator Eurocom, Czech open access operator AWT hired from Deutsche Leasing the two TRAXX F140 locomotives, 481 001 and 002, which Eurocom used before. AWT used the machines, which are 15 / 25 kV versions fitted for operation in Germany, Austria and Hungary, for its activities in the latter country. The final solution was to sell the locomotives and, in the end, Railpool became their new owner by the end of August 2011. By the beginning of September 2011, they were ready for operation and both were hired to boxXpress.de.
